The new deputy director and what he will do
Oksana Kiktenko, director of the Bilhorod-Dniester sea trade port, has a new deputy – Roman Didkov, whose duties will include attracting investments.
According to Ms. Oksana, Roman Didkov agreed to lead an extremely important direction at a difficult time for the port. A number of attempts to sell the company at auctions ended in failure, so the new deputy will try to rectify the situation.
“Privatization is precisely about new investments. 4 previous auctions did not find domestic investors willing to purchase the property complex of the port under existing conditions. Attracting foreign capital will change the negative experience. Roman Didkov has many years of experience in holding international conferences and exhibitions in the field of transport logistics, infrastructure and cargo. Forums within the framework of the existing Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TMTM or Middle Corridor) bring together leading players in the transport and logistics sector, focusing on the evolving multimodal transport landscape between Europe and Asia. A place on this route will ensure the development of the Belgorod-Dniester port,” said Oksana Kiktenko.
As the head of the state stevedore noted, Roman Didkov has already held Middle Corridor forums in Turkey, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan and Georgia. It was in Georgia in April 2024 that the capabilities of the Bilhorod-Dniester port were presented for the first time and a number of negotiations were held with representatives of companies from Romania, Germany, Turkey and other countries.
At the BLACK AND CASPIAN FREIGHT FORUM, which will be held on September 17-19 in Baku (Azerbaijan), the Belgorod-Dniester port will be presented in the official speeches and materials of the forum.
